Increased participation at Cuir à Paris (18-20 February), the French leather show where Italian tanneries take the lion’s share

The good trend continues for Cuir à Paris which announces the participation of 375 exhibitors (including 22 newcomers) at the edition dedicated to showing collections of leathers and components for summer 2015, scheduled for 18 to 20 February next in the French capitol. Compared to the corresponding edition of 2013, exhibition space increases by 23% for a total of over 7,000 square meters occupied in Hall 3 of Parc des Expositions of Paris Nord Villepinte. Good participation but not reaching the record of September when offers include furs and the exhibitors arrived at a total of 445.
At this next February event once again the headliners promise to be Italian tanners, occupying some 63% of total space (+21% compared to February ‘13) followed by the French, Spanish and Turkish. Naturally the spotlight will be on novelties for summer 2015. As always, the Parisian fair will organize interesting fringe events led by the fashion shows of which we offer wide coverage on the following pages.
Then, this edition also will again include the Incube forum, a section dedicated to research and creativity presenting numerous chemical firms specialized in developing products for leather. Also well worth a visit is the Bespoke area that features creations by ten artisans-artists who work with leather. Absolute novelties at this edition include the G-Love initiative that will see the participation of 7 glove makers under the banner of the French Glove Federation. Another point of attraction will be the space dedicated to young people featuring 19 designers of leather accessories, part of the French Fashion Institute.
