The latest Hong Kong fair dedicated to fashion accessories closed with good results
After three days of intensive work, 27 September last saw the close of the latest Fashion Access, the Hong Kong show dedicated to fashion accessories which presented the new collections of bags (covering 51%), footwear (23%) and various other items from over two hundred exhibitors, seventy of whom were first timers.
To facilitate the visit for dealers, this time the Asian fair was divided into two distinct areas, one dedicated mainly to firms from Asia that manufacture to contract and the other to independent international brands from 13 different countries, able to satisfy demand from department stores, boutiques and specialized shops in the upmarket range. The exhibition was visited by buyers from 58 countries, of which the top ten were as follows: Hong Kong, China, Japan, USA, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Russian Federation, Italy and Singapore. There were positive comments from trade members who expressed their appreciation of the variety and quality of offers on show.
The event included the “Best of APLF Awards” (BOAA), presented for collections of the most interesting design, this time covering just four main categories. The winners were: Saturday Morning and Night, Korea (small leather goods); Deshi Shoes Company Limited, China (men’s shoes); Antony Group, Italy (bags); Guangzhou City Quangsheng Shoes Company Limited, China (footwear).
