The event anticipates the dates of the next edition, a choice in line with the current trend that aims to capitalise on the flow of international buyers and visitors for Milan Fashion Week. The commitment to support young creative designers also continues thanks to the new alliance with Mittelmoda
The major changes in the fashion system have set the guidelines for the important innovations that characterise the next edition of the show: the new era is called #TheOneSeasonless. “To meet the needs of the current market, new tools are needed to respond to the digital dynamics, resetting the time between production and use, revolutionising the sector and offering a real service to buyers,” said Elena Salvaneschi, CEO of TheOneMilano. The seasonless collection, transversal in style and function, meets the needs of both buyers and consumers: the former can choose from a wide and concrete range of products, while the final buyer finds garments of the highest quality that are not only seasonless but also timeless. The aim of this project is therefore to provide a real service and a model capable of enhancing all the players in the supply chain and maximising results.
In line with this evolutionary approach, TheOneMilano has formed an alliance with Mittelmoda to support the creativity of young designers. After 25 years the first competition for young talents, Mittelmoda International Lab, has been enriched with a special recognition: “TheOneSeasonless Award”. The competition is open until May the 6th 2019 and can be entered on www.mittelmoda.com. The award will be given to the emerging creative designer who has been able to best follow and interpret the new market’s needs. The international competition chaired by Matteo Marzotto has recently signed a partnership agreement with Confindustria Moda, under the chairmanship of Claudio Marenzi, with the aim of promoting young Italian and international designers of the sector. The winning seasonless capsule collection will be exhibited during the September 2019 edition of TheOneMilano.
The important new features are the crucial stages of an evolutionary path that continues for the Milanese haute-à-porter show.
